Syd 

is a contemporary dance artist from Cadillac, Michigan. They graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy in 2021, where they had the opportunity to participate in the Miami One Project and perform Concerto by renowned choreographer Lucinda Childs. They went on to attend the University of the Arts, before transferring to Grand Valley State University. They attended summer programs at Limón Dance Company, Doug Varone, David Dorfman, and American Dance Festival. In 2024, they relocated to New York, where they work as a freelance dancer. They have performed for Shelby Green and Celine Bassman and are currently working on a project for Amina Kolenc, which is set to premiere at Triskelion Arts in 2026. In addition to being a dancer, they also make their own work about the transracial adoptee experience. They have shown their work at Green Space’s “Fertile Ground” performance series.
